AlecZander

A couple of weeks ago, I received a call from a bride about a wedding. When she said her name, I knew she had to be the sister of one of my college marching band friends (yes, I was in the Goin' Band from Raiderland). Sure enough, it was. And just a few days later, I got to photograph my friend with her new baby - AlecZander. I just love the spelling of his name. Thank you so much for allowing me to photograph your family.

Gracie Update

Well, sweet Gracie girl is adjusting very nicely to our home. She is energetic and fun! Her favorite past times include chewing on raw hides, carrying around her blue teddy bear, and her most cherished game.... playing attack daddy! She is such a wonderful addition and blessing to our family!

Patrick & Amy

I know... it has been a long time since I have posted anything. Things have been in full swing here - we are extremely busy. And, lately I have been doing a large number of bridal portraits. So, those cannot be posted until after the bride is married.

As I told you in a previous post, my cousin Amy was married a couple of weeks ago. It was so fun being around family. The wedding was beautiful, and the day was full of emotion. I have so many more that I want to post, but this is all I have time for right now (even a few blackmail pictures of Chris). Here are a few favorites...

Patrick & Amy, thank you so much for allowing me to photograph your day. It was such an honor.

Amy's Bridals

A few weeks ago I photographed my cousin Amy's bridal portraits. She was married last weekend, so I am posting them now. Here are a few of my favorites.

Kyle & Daina

Kyle and Daina were such a great couple to work with. They were so relaxed and fun to talk to. From the moment Daina and I first starting discussing wedding details, I knew that we would have fun together. Here are a few of the favorites from their engagement session a couple of weeks ago (I have been a little behind in posting).

Melinda & Anthony

Melinda and Anthony are such a wonderful couple to photograph. They were energetic and fun throughout the shoot - even when we were being attacked by mosquitoes. Here are a few favorites.

Gracie

As many of you who check my blog often know, our puppies Annie and Sarah passed away about 2 months ago. It has been so hard without them. We knew that we wanted another dog someday, but we weren't sure when would be a good time. We were still hurting from the loss, but had starting considering rescuing a dog from the animal shelter. We went to the shelter last week, and, of course, I wanted to take them all home. How would we ever decide? I knew that something would have to happen to let me know which dog we should take in. Well, a couple of days ago some friends called us, and they had found a sweet little stray puppy who was very hungry and homeless. They said that her little tummy was flat and empty. After advertising in the paper and at the shelter, no one had claimed her, and since they already had three pets, they called us and asked if we would like to take her home. They had started calling her Grace because of her lack of gracefulness. That soon became Gracie. So, we went to meet her and brought her home. She is such a sweetie. As you can see, she is a skinny little thing with long legs. And, she has the cutest little underbite! She is adjusting nicely to her new home. She slept through the night without so much as a wimper. She is still figuring us and her home out, but I know she is getting used to everything. Welcome home Gracie!

Manny & Iris

Manny & Iris were married last weekend at Trinity Church. It was a beautiful ceremony. They did a great job of incorporating some really meaningful events into the ceremony. Here are a few of my favorites.

Mr. & Mrs. Henry

John and Casey were married at Bacon Heights in a beautiful ceremony. I love the vibrant colors she chose for the flowers and dresses. Congrats you two!
The ring bearer loved having his picture made!

As they were leaving, Casey got birdseed in her mouth! Yuck!
