Staying Warm

I wrote about Trista and Sean in a previous post. They were the couple who braved the cold and snow to do engagement portraits (yes, that is snow in their hair). I am almost done editing their portraits; so, I thought I would put a couple on my blog! There are more coming soon!

Leslea & Randy Sneak Peek

Leslea and Randy were married this weekend in NM. They were married at the NMMI Chapel which made for wonderful portrait settings. I hung out with the girls all morning through hair and makeup and then headed to the chapel to begin formal portraits. It was a beautiful day! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Brower!

It's My Birthday!

Well, it is officially my birthday. I don't know about you, but my birthday makes me think about the previous year. For me, A LOT has happened! There has been a large number of changes for just one year.

One of the major changes is the growth that has occurred in my business. I could never in my wildest dreams have imagined what God had in store for my business within this last year. It far exceeds my expectations!

Ephesians 3:20 Now glory be to God! By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope.

I cannot begin to express how blessed I feel to be a photographer! To join with families in these amazing times in their lives whether it is graduation, celebrating their children, or marriage, is such an honor to me. Thank you to everyone who has shared these times in your lives with me!

Thank you to my family for supporting and helping me through everywhere I've been! I could not have done it without each of you. And to my husband, he has always believed in me and encouraged me to follow my dreams. Thank you!

I just want to dedicate this next year and my business to the Lord.

Proverbs 16:3 Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established.

On the Road Again

Well, I'm off again. I am photographing a wedding in Roswell, NM this weekend for Leslea and Randy. I am so excited and have lots of good ideas! I'll post a few pics when I get back. Here is one of their engagement pics!

After the Snow

Tonight I went out to my front yard to take a few pics of the frost. It was so beautiful.

I took this of a patch of snow with my macro lens!!!

I LOVE SNOW!!!!!!!

FINALLY!!! The day I have been waiting for all winter comes!! Right in the middle of a photo shoot! So, we went with it and had some fun! When I called Trista earlier today, she said they would brave the weather to have their portriats done; so, out in the cold we went. We worked quickly all over downtown and on Tech campus. I will have pics up soon.

Tiffany

Last week I started a portfolio for Tiffany. When her mom and I first talked, and she told me what they wanted, I was so excited. They are using the pictures for pagents; therefore, they must be very unique and modern. Immediately I thought of this ugly couch in an alley that I have been waiting to use (it reqires a certain attitude and image, you see). And, she was more than happy to oblige. We will continue shooting for the next few weeks. I will keep pics posted!

More Jennifer

I took Jennifer's pictures a couple of weeks ago (you may have seen a previous post). I have been out of town so much, things have been moving a little slower than usual. So, I am uploading Jennifer's portraits now. Sorry for the delay. To see more, just click here.

Angela and Will

Her is Angela and Will's Slideshow! It will take a couple of minutes to download. This was my gift to them. Love you guys! Enjoy!

Whirlwind Trip...

My husband and I are about to leave on a whirlwind of a trip. We both have multiple business obligations. We are leaving early tomorrow morning (I mean VERY EARLY) for Houston where I will have a photo session and will see some family. The next day we are going to Austin, Waco, and Dallas for my husband to do some video work. Then I will spend Friday and Saturday in Dallas doing multiple photo sessions. We will come back Saturday night and I have a session on Sunday! WOW!!!!! I just love my job!!!

Windy Day at White Sands

This past weekend I went to White Sands with a bride, her mom, her maid of honor, and her wedding coordinator to do bridal portraits. We had an absolutely fantastic time. I would love to show you some of the pictures, but she won't be married until May. So, as soon as she is, they will be posted.

It was a fun and new experience for me. It was a VERY windy day. So, almost immediately the veil came off, and soon after, the hair came down. So, we started playing in the sand. It was truly great. I was so blessed to spend the weekend with such awesome ladies. Thanks for everything girls!

Sarah The Wonder Dog... And Annie Her Sidekick

Our Sarah is quite talented. We have been keeping her abilities a secret, but we think it is time to reveal these for the greater good. Now, I know she just looks like an ordinary puppy. But, when it is time to chase the ball or the frisbee, her talents emerge.

I know, she's adorable. No one expects her to turn in to a Wonder Dog.

Ahh. She just looks like a cute puppy waiting to be petted. But secretly, she is calculating the exact distance and force necessary to snatch the frisbee.

Lift off!

And grab! Yes!!!

Here she shows off her running abilities.

Watch as she gracefully leaps for her prey (imagine that being said in an Australian accent).

And, she's making it around the turn she's in the lead ahead of the red dog Annie. (racecar announcer)

WOW!

Oooooooh!

AWESOME!!

Go!

And here's Annie keeping a close watch over Wonder Dog's safety.

Yeah!

And, here is Annie's attempt. Sarah, her mentor, watches on (with tongue hanging out) to give Annie pointers.

Ang & Will

My cousin Angela and her fiance came to town this weekend. We had such an amazing time. I took them all over Lubbock for 2 days! They were really tired of smiling by the time I was finished! Anyway, here are few you two. Hope you like what you see!

Me & My Girls

I decided that I needed a little break last night; so, I curled up on the couch with my puppies! Ahhh! How relaxing.
