The Trip Home

So, I even had fun on the trip home! I was traveling alone which gave me time to think, reflect, and stop whenever I wanted. Here are some pics from my trip home.

For part of the trip, I was in a caravan behind some other local photographers. We stopped in Calvert, the antique capitol of Texas. There were lots of cool shops and old Victorian houses.

WOW! I learned a lot last week!

Last week was AMAZING!!! I learned so much about photography. My instructor, Tony Corbell, was fantastic! I bought a few new toys to make my life easier as well. I also got to learn some new retouching techniques! A man in our class does retouching for the pros! Basically, when a photographer wants to perfect a picture before print competition, many of them send it to him. And he let us in on a few of his secrets!! I also learned and bought some new actions that I used here as well. So, here is my first try. Let me know what you think!

Texas School Assignment 2

Here is my favorite image from my group's assignment for today.

Texas School Update

Hey everyone! I am having an absolutely FANTASTIC time at Texas School! I have learned so much this week. Yesterday, my instructor gave us group assignments. We were illustrate words with pictures. One of the words was interaction. The catch was that we had to illustrate it without using interactions between people. Here are a couple of the pics I took. Interaction of the parts of the bike
In the quest for creativeness, one of my group members suggested that we go to a tatoo parlor. I had never been in a tatoo parlor before. We sat and spoke with the owner as we waited for a man to get a tatoo. Here he is working on the tatoo.

This Saturday, Ashley and Brian braved the wind with us to do engagement pictures. We ran all over Lubbock for hours. They are such a fun couple to hang out with! We had a fantastic time!

Mandy & Sam

Last weekend I photographed Mandy and Sam at the Arboretum and downtown Dallas. We had a fantastic time. They were so sweet and willing to work in any condition (it rained most of the first day we photographed). I took SO many pictures of these two! Here are a few of my favorites so far...

More Fun With Kristen!!

Today was a jam-packed day. One of the highlights was getting to finish Kristen's bridal portraits. In a previous post I mentioned that I took her to White Sands and it was SOOO windy. Therefore, we were unable to do everything I wanted to do. We rescheduled but were rained out a second time. So, I made sure we had a perfect location for any type of weather. And, of course, the weather was fabulous!!! We had a great time as always. She is such a sweet and kind person. During our session, she mentioned that she checks my blog all the time! I have to admit, this thrilled me!!! You see, I daily check the blogs of photographers and friends. So, to hear that someone looks at mine regularly was exciting! So, here's a shout out to Kristen! Thanks girl!!!! (Drop it like it's hot!)
